Become a club member to join our outdoor trips
The first publication of the 2026 calendar is planned for the end of January
We have outdoor trips running over about three quarters of the year, with some of the club's favourite trips running every year whilst also grabbing onto opportunities to venture to newer locations.
Our club trips take us into the lush country side, glistening sea cliffs and jagged mountains. Some areas lend itself to particular climbing discipline but often it will suit two or three in one go. Peak District and Snowdonia for example has more sport and trad crags, and boulders than we can climb in a lifetime!
New trips are announced on Discord and Whatsapp Community, trips can sell out fast so put your belay glasses on and keep an eye out! On Discord, we also open channels for each trip to take care of any burning questions, some general psyching up and arrange carpools between ourselves. It is highly recommended that you join Discord to engage with other club members or ask questions.
You need to be a paid member to go on outdoor trips. If you are not one yet, make sure you fill in the membership form to join us
Our sport climbing trips are always popular. We usually feature Portland, Gower, and Wye Valley. In past years we have run trips to Swanage, Peak District and getting some winter sun in Spain too.
Trad climbing has grown in popularity in the club over the last few years. Peak District, Gower and Wye Valley are regular choices most years. We've also been to Snowdonia, Lake District, Dartmoor, Cornwall and Fairy Cave too.
In previous years, we have dedicated bouldering trips to Font and the Peak District. We have also incorporated bouldering into our trips to Portland, Lake District and Dartmoor.
Scrambling is our most recent discipline in the club. We have had organised trips with volunteer group leaders from our most experienced club members to Snowdonia and Lake District.
